We have ten new beauty launches on our wishlist. Spring launches tend to be some of our favorites as they set the tone for trends in the new year and this season, the lineup looks incredibly promising.
Allies of Skin Azelaic & Kojic Advanced Clarifying Serum ($99/1oz.)
A brightening, redness-reducing, texture-improving serum featuring 10% azelaic acid and 1% kojic acid as well as other brighteners. This is especially exciting to us because it combines two relatively gentle, yet incredibly powerful and efficient ingredients we love for tackling PIH/PIE. Allies can sometimes go a bit overboard with their blends but we’re happy to see this combination—a lot of us will enjoy this serum within an already established routine.
Versed New Makeup Line ($10.99-$19.99)
We’re stoked to see a cool, modern approach to makeup come from a more affordable brand. There are quite a few products in the lineup including: a mineral SPF 40 skin tint, brightening concealer ft. caffeine and kojic acid, blush/bronzer/highlight sticks, lip serums, soft matte color sticks, liquid eyeshadows, a face primer, brow gels, brushes, and a mascara that comes in both black and brown. We’re especially excited because Merit Beauty and Versed share the same founder, so our expectations for product performance are high. The color selections are more paired back, but we expect them to expand depending on how successful the line reveals itself to be.
Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced Face Serum ($92/1oz.)
Growth factors + small molecular sized peptides (for deeper skin penetration), all meant to target signs of aging. This is one of the more promising peptide launches we’ve seen in a while—the ingredient list is stacked, and in all honesty, we trust Medik8 to do it best. They make a few very bold/borderline claims, such as visibly noticeable changes in 10 minutes and changes to skin structure itself from the serum, but we’re willing to hear them out.
Tower28 Getset Matte Powder Blushes ($22)
Setting powder meets matte blush in this new launch. We are notorious matte-only blush users because dewy and shimmery finishes tend to accentuate our pores and skin texture, but the idea of adding the smoothing, long-wear components of a good setting powder to a blush is genius. There are six shades in the range.
Shani Darden Rescue Serum with 10% Azelaic Acid Complex ($68/1oz.)
Shani Darden makes some of the gentlest, yet highly efficient milky-textured active serums on the market, so her take on an azelaic acid serum is very promising. To be clear, it’s a Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate (PAD, azelaic acid derivative) treatment, so the irritation that we often see with pure azelaic acid will be diminished in this. There’s additional oat kernel extract, aloe vera, panthenol, and licorice root extract in here to round out the serum.
Milk Makeup Hydro Grip 12-Hour Hydrating Gel Skin Tint ($36/1oz.)
It’s been a long time since Milk has launched something we’re thoroughly interested in, but this skin tint looks like a dry-skin sufferer’s dream. It’s chock-full of the same hydrators found in the rest of the Hydro Grip line that are supposed to smooth over the skin, provide all-day hydration, and stay adhered without caking up. This line tends to not pill on us so we’re interested to see how the skin tint will work!
Cool as a Cucumber Barriersmith ($88/1.7oz.)
We haven’t tried anything from this small brand focused on acne-safe formulas but they’re very high on our list. This cream is designed to be rich, lipid-replenishing/barrier-supportive, and yet still improve congestion, which is no small feat.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Wardrobe Palettes ($75, $50 for refills)
We always had our eye on the Eye Wardrobes but the previous color stories never made sense to us. The way the tones melted into each other also didn’t sit super well, so it’s nice to see the updated versions have greater cohesion in color scheme but also separation within the palette. They’re also refillable which is a lovely thought. We’re most interested in “Victoria,” which features some neutral plummy-gray tones, our favorites for the last couple of years.
Dr. Loretta Barrier Enhancing Milky Essence ($50/3.3oz.)
A brand we’ve loved for years, Dr. Loretta makes relatively simple formulas, but the textures and overall product performance are stellar, allowing you to really feel like it’s a luxury experience. We have high expectations for their take on a milky toner, as it contains ectoin (trendy new ingredient on the block), squalane (great for those of us with fungal acne concerns), and phospholipids for a cushy blend. These are tough products to judge from ingredient list alone because it comes down to feel—how greasy it is on application and throughout the day—and that’s not something we can assess until after purchasing. After our Ilia Face Base empties, we’ll definitely keep this one in mind.
Sidia Soaked Solid Perfume ($48/0.13oz.)
Another brand we have not yet tried but have quite high on our list,
Sidia is a luxury body care and home fragrance line that is well-known for the fragrance combinations found in their hand creams, body washes, and candles. We’ve been exploring solid perfumes lately and originally had the Diptyque ones in mind, but since we haven’t tried a solid perfume yet, it may be a better idea to try a slightly more affordable option first. The scent notes in this fragrance include: top notes of grapefruit, spearmint, thyme, and juniper (we love juniper!), middle notes of jasmine, citrus, cypress, and cedar leaf (another fave), and base notes of patchouli, sandalwood, pine, and fresh musks.

I'm so excited about many of these as well! Really enjoying my first impressions of the new Versed makeup as well
Interested in Allies of Skin as well! Its founder is also a Singaporean like me :)
